TAKE THE INMAN INTEL INDEX SURVEY FOR DECEMBER
We’ve talked a lot about the struggles agents have encountered in 2024: the commission lawsuit settlement, the copycat suits, concerns over the economy and the slow real estate market. It hasn’t been easy being a real estate pro lately.

However, real estate agents are nothing if not optimistic, so we asked you to focus on the positive: What’s one amazing thing that happened to you this year? Did you get the listing of a lifetime? Do the biggest deal of your career? Did you make a move to a new team or brokerage that really paid off? Was your big moment personal, like a wedding, a new baby or a milestone anniversary? Here’s what you said:
- I took control of my business and eliminated the clients that held me back. I found that many clients want to take charge and tell agents how to do and what to do and those need to be released in order to move to the next level in business. I lost quite a bit of income for the short term, but clearly see this was needed to move forward and not have points of stalling in my career. As agents, we need to walk away and not let toxic clients drag us down. I’m looking forward to 2025 and beyond with a clear mind.
- My daughter returned home after being away for nine years. She is extraordinary in many ways and a huge help to me, both personally and professionally. We started our company in 2009. Worked as partners ever since. I am thrilled she is back home. We immediately began building more clientele, helping more and more families, and “loving it.”
