Jason Waugh, currently president of Coldwell Banker Affiliates, will rejoin HomeServices first on enterprise initiatives before stepping into the HSF Affiliates CEO role next year.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ franchise arm has named a competitor’s top executive as its next leader.

Jason Waugh, president of Coldwell Banker Affiliates, will rejoin HomeServices of America as successor to HSF Affiliates CEO Vince Leisey, the company said in a statement. The transition is expected to begin in 2027.

Waugh will join HomeServices first in a different capacity, working on enterprise initiatives that include the company’s Insurance segment, according to the announcement. Leisey will continue leading HSF Affiliates until the handoff.

Waugh led Prudential Northwest Real Estate before its acquisition by HomeServices and went on to serve as president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwest Real Estate. He left for Coldwell Banker Affiliates as president, the role he holds today.

“Jason brings a rare combination of brokerage leadership, franchise expertise and enterprise perspective that will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and grow our network,” HomeServices of America President and CEO Chris Kelly said in a statement.

After the transition, Leisey will become chair of HSF Affiliates while continuing as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ambassador Real Estate, a network brokerage, the company said.

“I remain fully committed to leading this network and building on the momentum we have today,” Leisey said in a statement. “At the same time, this transition has always been about positioning the network for long-term success. Jason brings the franchise network experience, perspective and leadership needed for what comes next.”

Waugh said in a statement he was honored to return to HomeServices and looked forward to “supporting our franchisees as we continue to grow together when the transition occurs.”
