The Corcoran Group has added a new feature to its website that highlights “Trending Listings,” the brokerage has informed Inman.
The feature, which shows up on listings on Corcoran.com with a fire symbol and the word “TRENDING,” shows homebuyers listings within their search parameters that are trending based on unique views, interactions (including favorites, shares, contact forms) and leads.
The feature also ensures that smaller or less active ZIP Codes included in a buyer’s search have fair representation as Trending Listings through normalization across the back end of the tool.
Corcoran’s vice president of product and tech support, Alisande Heriyanto, said the feature is meant to help Corcoran’s website stand out from other real estate brands’.
“In an industry crowded with countless brokerage firms and aggregator sites, we knew we had to offer something fresh — a feature that delivers genuine value to our clients and agents,” Heriyanto said in a statement sent to Inman.
“And in today’s fast-paced world, where everyone chases the latest trend, we decided to turn the spotlight on real estate itself. We developed a dynamic, trend-tracking feature that invites visitors to explore what’s truly captivating in the market. Instead of simply following the buzz, our proprietary algorithm curates properties that generate genuine interest — whether due to innovative pricing, exceptional furnishings, or other unique factors.”
These Trending Listings are also updated on a daily basis as new interactions are processed.
Cocoran likened the feature to Netflix’s “Trending Now” section on its landing page, calling Trending Listings “like Netflix for real estate.”
In addition to its potential appeal to homebuyers, Corcoran said the feature has the benefit of allowing agents to quickly see properties that clients are excited about, provides something new for agents to share on social media to generate buzz, and showcases the success of agents who hold Trending Listings.
“This engaging experience keeps visitors on our site longer and transforms their curiosity into actionable leads for our agents,” Heriyanto added. “Ultimately, our goal is to continue to elevate our Corcoran brand on both national and international stages.”
