Conover, a former Nest Seekers International agent in New York and YouTube star, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly striking a Bartlett, New Hampshire, patrol officer with his Jeep during a traffic stop, Daily Mail reported.
On March 15, Officer Cameron Emmett attempted to pull Conover over after he was caught going between 55 and 60 mph in a 35 mph zone on West Side Road, Bartlett Police Sergeant Brian Moffitt detailed during Conover’s arraignment.
“While Officer Emmett exited his vehicle, he moved around to the rear of his cruiser, and you, Mr. Conover, then backed his vehicle rapidly, pointed it directly at Officer Emmett, and accelerated at him, striking him at a reasonably high rate of speed,” Moffitt continued, as reported by Daily Mail.
Following the alleged incident, a police pursuit ensued, lasting 38 miles before state police apprehended Conover in the town of Carroll.
Officer Emmett sustained a leg injury and was transported to the hospital. He has since been released.
At his arraignment, Conover denied all allegations, claiming police had mistaken his identity and that official police documentation had been falsified.
“This seems to be a massive misunderstanding. I’m exactly who I say I am. I’m a YouTuber,” he said.
Conover, who has built his brand around touring high-end properties in New York City, Aspen and Miami, began his real estate career in 2018. He obtained his license in 2020 and joined Nest Seekers.
Conover’s agent profile is no longer available on the company’s website, and the New York Department of State no longer lists an active real estate license under his name.
At this time, it is not immediately clear if Conover disassociated with Nest Seekers before or after the alleged incident.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, Conover faces multiple other charges, including disobeying an officer, reckless operation, second-degree assault and first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, among other charges. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The YouTuber was also arrested just three days prior to the alleged incident on DUI, reckless operation and open container charges.
Conover is currently being held without bail pending his upcoming probable cause hearing.
