Reu-Narvaez will lead the People Enablement Team, which will oversee recruitment and retention, professional and organizational development, and culture-building across Compass’s nine brands and four relocation, title and settlement, leads, and insurance businesses.
Reu-Narvaez held similar roles at Anywhere for 24 years, serving as SVP of human resources before being promoted to chief people officer in January 2021.
“I believe every person at this company matters,” she said in a prepared statement. “As our real estate professionals come together on one platform, it’s the people they interact with — those who help them learn, greet them in the office, and answer their questions — who make this company truly special and agent-centric.”
“We’re ultimately investing in the success of every agent and broker we serve,” she added.
Beyond her work at Anywhere, Reu-Narvaez has served as a board member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and the Asian Real Estate Association (AREAA). She’s also an inaugural NAHREP Ernest J. Reyes Founders Award winner, and a HousingWire “Top 20 Women of Influence in Housing” and Business Insider “25 HR Leaders Building the World’s Most Innovative, Inclusive Workplaces” honoree.
“I could not be more excited to have Tanya lead our People Enablement Team,” Compass International Holdings Chairman and CEO Robert Reffkin said. “She knows that real estate is a people business, and she has the vision and experience to make every employee feel empowered. That energy will ripple through the entire company and help our real estate professionals be more successful.”
Reu-Narvaez is the latest in a string of Compass and former Anywhere leaders to move to Compass International Holdings. Others include company veteran Rory Golod, who was named president of growth, and Anywhere veteran Sue Yannaccone, who was named chief operating officer.
Former Compass executives Tim Gustavson and Shay Artzi have moved into C-suite accounting and tech roles, respectively, at the holding company. Compass also promoted longtime leader Neda Navab to brokerage president as part of Reffkin’s transition to head of Compass International Holdings.
