Prior to this role, Gehringer was President of Coldwell Banker Affiliate Business and Chief Operating Officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, consisting of a franchise network of more than 1,400 affiliated company offices in the U.S. and 628 international operating offices. She led the brand’s franchise operations, field services, events, international business and the Coldwell Banker and Coldwell Banker Commercial affiliate networks.
Gehringer was appointed to serve as Chief Operating Officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate in 2018. Since then, Gehringer worked to deliver enhanced customer service to the Coldwell Banker affiliated companies as well as an improved product offering, while collaborating with the network to extend their relationships with the Coldwell Banker brand, achieving an unprecedented level of franchisee renewal, and retaining an extraordinary level of revenue in 2021.
Gehringer’s combination of operational, franchise, and legal experience, as well as her proven ability to build a world-class program from the ground up, uniquely positions her to drive strategic growth within Coldwell Banker Real Estate. She is a proponent of the Coldwell Banker Inclusive Ownership program, which welcomed 30 new franchised companies since its inception in 2020. The program is designed to increase diversity and generate opportunities for underrepresented groups in real estate.
Gehringer is the leading voice for the Coldwell Banker What Moves Her program and was named to HousingWire’s 2022 and 2019 Women of Influence list for her outstanding efforts in driving the U.S. housing market forward. In 2022 she was the recipient of the NJBiz Best 50 Women in Business award. She additionally enjoyed her term as executive sponsor of Realogy Women’s Employee Resource Group. She is the executive sponsor of the International Luxury Alliance, a network of the very top luxury agents across Coldwell Banker, Corcoran Group and Hamptons International. In 2022 and 2021, Gehringer was named a RISMedia NewsMaker recipient and joined the Swanepoel Power 200 in 2022.
Prior to her role as COO, Gehringer served as senior vice president, chief ethics and compliance officer at Realogy Holdings Corp., the parent company of Coldwell Banker Real Estate. During her time with Realogy, Gehringer built an ethics and compliance program that received global attention, with Ethisphere Institute recognizing Realogy as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies® for seven consecutive years under her leadership. This is an award that reflects the principles of Realogy, mirrors the values on which the Coldwell Banker brand was built, and represents a tradition of operating ethically that continues today.
Gehringer has been a part of Anywhere leadership since 2006, including her tenure as general counsel for the Realogy Franchise Group from 2007 to 2012. In that role, Gehringer gained a holistic understanding of the franchising process and franchise operations.
